TPO, while better known than PVC, is fairly tough or unforgiving, making perfect seams a bit tricky. Also, after it gains a thin coat of weathering, or after longer periods when plasticizers have leached out, it becomes like a repellant magnet to wanting to weld. The new patch will boil to nothing sooner than stick, regardless of how you play with the temperature, clean with degreaser, clean with acetone, clean with TPO cleaner, etc. Nothing makes this a product to recommend over PVC, in the hundreds of flat roofs we have dealt with.
