PVC offers much greater reliability of welds than does TPO, and at the same turnkey cost.
PVC is an excellent choice for large flat roofs (commercial buildings) as well as tricky residential roof sections like dead valleys, low-slope porches, chimney crickets, and anything with a slope less than 2:12 or 4:12. It can last up to 30 years and has a track-record of reliability over many decades.
We generally install it mechanically-attached (with screws/barb-plates in the hidden cavity above the weld), though we have done two-part low-rise spray adhesive for fleeceback membrane to adhere to ISO insulation boards, and have done chemically-adhered (glued) for parapet walls, etc.
We have attended training in membrane welding with GAF and with IB Roof. We are also able to offer NDL (no-dollar limit) warranties with IB Roof for an upcharge. A representative from IB Roof will inspect that all work has been done to code/manufacturer requirements prior to issuing the warranty.
IB PVC comes in a variety of colors (white, tan, grey, etc.).
